Marching Towards the Light

A ray of light tears through the sky

It makes me start marching, don't know why,

All I know, towards the light, I must go,

As the light, never lets the darkness grow.

The path might be full of pebbles and thorn,

Might have to cross meadows and fields of corn,

But something inside tells me so,

On and on, marching, I must go.

Some may call it now, an act of lunacy,

But one day, they'll call me lucky and the path easy,

Unbothered by the circumstances,

I still march on, taking the chances.

For now, I may be covered with mud,

Wet wings can't fly a bird,

But I must keep on marching,

Even if today, there seems no use of my wing.

One day, the Sun will shine bright in the sky,

Then the mud shall dry.

That day, I shall fly.

That day, I shall fly high.
