Sitting on the bank of the Ganges at Haridwar,
I think of all the thing I've done so far,
In everyday life's race,
We often forget what's helping us keep up the pace.
We need to reprioritize,
Show love to those who sacrifice.
It has been rightly said,
That those who love us unconditionally, we take them for granted,
Because we think they're something we've always got,
Until one morning we wake up and they are not.
We need to reprioritize,
Show love to those who sacrifice.
Some people are like umbrella for us,
Protecting us from the fierce ruckus,
We realise the true value of something after it's lost,
Like the value of the flame when it's frost.
We need to reprioritize,
Show love to those who sacrifice.
In the pursuit of the light of the transient Moon,
We overlook the starlight that guides all through summer, winter and monsoon.
We don't often show gratitude,
To the people who help us climb up the altitude.
We need to reprioritize,
Show love to those who sacrifice.
Before it's late, Love, cherish and respect the ones that stay,
Because others may not or may.
Let them know that you love them,
To your flowers, they are the roots and the stem.
